Identifying Plagiarism – CFP (Check For Plag)
Every work that is done by one and use by other person without
citing the source of work is considered as plagiarism. This rule is applicable
for all not only for students but also for researchers,Web developers, web
designers, writers as well as teachers.
The work done by students by copying the contents from internet
and other sources without citing it is considered as plagiarism. Same way if
teachers use the work done by students outside the school for their personal
use without citing the source of the work is considered as plagiarism.
Usually it happens while giving the example of students for doing
best work many teachers withhold the work of student’s name for privacy reason
and this is not considered as plagiarism because teacher is not taking credit
of work.
But sometime teachers use the work of students outside the school
and show it as their own and take credit him/her self instead of giving credit
to student who did hard work for completing the work. It is not only harmful
for the teacher’s but also for the
students because when the truth behind this reveals it not only spoil the
identity and respect of teachers but also make the students feel disappointed
and instead of doing hard work they choose the path of copy pasting and also
not able to trust the teacher.
If any teacher or guide
takes credit for a story that student wrote is considered as plagiarism. Even
in some cases teacher share the credit with student but still it is considered
as plagiarism.
